My story

Had a few weeks of injury to my left foot. Ran the marathon yesterday, well I actually only ran the first 10 miles and then after some first aid to my right knee walked the remaiing 16 miles. Completed the marathon in 6 hours and 20 minutes so pleased with this and my medal is just beautiful - the whole journey has been awesome and I met some very special people along the way.

Have continued training but have just been through a little blip - sore knees and a bit tired. Back on track now - planning an 18mile run on Saturday then watching my friend, Sue, run the London marathon on Sunday. Fundraising has to take on a new meaning now - 2 car boot sales to be undertaken and ask a few more people to give some money!!!!!

Did it!!!! 20 miles in 3 hours and 50 mins. Not so bad - a few miles and a couple of times were I thought OMG what am I doing. But the end was exhilirating and I cannot believe that I made it. Even legs felt ok afterwards - 26.2 now feels within reach :)

Well half way through the month and training going well - completed the Bath half last week in 2 hours 33minutes and this week Banbury 15 in 2 hours and 36 minutes (and no I did not run the last two miles in 3 minutes). Banbury is so hilly you would not believe it - legs sore now!!!!!!! Not sure about next week - 20 miles seems so far. Will soon be able to run from home to work.

March looks like being an exciting and busy month. This weekend - 12 mile run, 11th - Bath half marathon, 18th - Banbury 15, 25th Hemel Hempstead 20 mile run, and at the end of the month the chance to go to the new olympic stadium and watch one of my running friends Toni run a five mile run ending in the stadium. Oh my god and a full diary at work :) Might need a holiday after that lot!!!!!

Its now February and my training is going ok but 26.2 miles still seems impossible. I am up to 10 miles on my long run and it felt good. My average week at the moment is about 17miles. Next hurdle is the Bath Half marathon (hoping to really enjoy it and get the motivation to go on and double the distance)

Thanks to those of you who have already sponspored me :)

Jackie
