Story

Jim Beachill, with his grandchildren Jack and Elishia will attempt to walk Hadrian’s Wall from Wallsend, East of Newcastle to Bowness on Solway on the West Coast – a distance of 84 miles! The attempt will take place from August 28th to September 4th

Jim says: “As thousands of South Yorkshire people are personally aware Weston Park have provided Cancer treatment, care and cures for many, many people both in South Yorkshire and the U.K. Members of my family and friends have been given great help by them in the past.  Whilst we are looking forward to undertaking this adventure, we thought it would be a good idea to help the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity by sponsoring it for their benefit”

Weston Park Hospital is 1 of only 3 dedicated cancer hospitals in the UK and is a world leader in cancer research. We need your help to support research and improve treatment and care for people living with cancer.

Weston Park Hospital provides cancer treatment services for patients across the region - and that means Rotherham, Barnsley, Doncaster, Worksop and Chesterfield as well as Sheffield. Increasingly treatment is being delivered in your community and your local hospital all under the expertise of Weston Park Hospital specialists.
