Story

Hi all,

Quick update - Thank you to all those that have so far donated to my sponsorship page.

This summer I will be undertaking a number of challenges, including a Marathon, a Triathlon and a 2 mile open water swim down the River Thames.

- On the 5th June 2010 I completed the first part of my three event challenge by completing the Stockholm Marathon in a time of 3 hours 15 minutes. Results and photo's can be seen on the Stockholm Marathon website.

 - On Friday the 9th of July I was due to compete int he King Sturge property triathlon, however, due to injuries sustained in running the marathon I will be unable to compete. My legs, and in particular my shins are still in quite some pain so further recovery will be required before competing again.

However, to replace this I will instead be competing in the Tough Track Advanced Triathlon which will take place on the 18 September. The race is an off-track event in East Sussex which will involve a 550m lake swim, an 11km mountain bike ride through rugged terrain, and finishing with an 8km run through fields and forests. More info on this can be found at: http://humanrace.co.uk/more-info-on-tough-tracks-420.html

- My next event will take place on the 1 August 2010 when I will be swimming the first ever Nokia Thames Swim between Hampton Court Palace and Ravens Ait, a 2 mile open water swim down the river Thames. http://www.humanrace.co.uk/more-info-on-nokia-thames-swim-407.html

I am raising money for Lakeland Day Care Hospice, and my fundraising efforts have been going well. Thank you to everyone that has sponsored me so far, it is very much appreciated, and all money will go to a fantastic cause.

If anyone else would like to sponsor me for these events, please do so on this page.

Many thanks,

James
