We raise money and awareness to support all who have a bleeding disorder

Story

First of all thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

My sister and I are planning to run/walk/crawl our first half marathon in October 2010.

The reason we are running the 13.1 miles is to raise money for the National Haemophila Society.

In 2008 my nephew & Kate/Mike's Son Archie was diagnosed with this blood disorder at the age of 1 and it has impacted the family, his parents as well as his own lifestyle.  The disorder is very rare and means that Archie and other sufferers are lacking in factor viii within their blood so if and when they fall over, bump any part of bodies or cut themselves they require an urgent injection of factor viii to stop/stem the bleeding/bruising.

We would like to raise as much money as possible for The national Haemophilia Society so that the funds raised can go back into research and development for the foundation.

We would like to thank you in advance for your support and generous sponsorship of this event and you shall all be informed of our times around the 13.1 mile course.
