As everyone knows, people do not just give away money freely! 

So here is a bit of information about us, our goal and the charity we are supporting!

Our names are James Donovan and Jonny Rutherford, we are 20 and 19 respectively and are just regular lads!

We play football, drink beer and enjoy a good sesh on the XBox from time to time!

We do however have one major thing in common, we have an unwavering respect to the brave men and women of the Armed Forces.

Jonny himself has just been accepted into the Royal Navy, so congrats to him on that! And James is one stage away from being accepted into the army.

Due to the respect we have we decided that we should do something to help our service men and women in what ever way we could!

So Jonny, being the bright spark he is, came up with the idea of running the BUPA Great North Run on 19th September 2010.

We intend to complete all 13.1 miles on the run whilst showing our support for the charity Help For Heroes.

As many of you are aware, Help For Heroes is a charity which is dedicated to the care and treatment of those brave men and women wounded in the current Iraq and Afghanistan campaign.

Help For Heroes collection tins are now in the Owington Farm Pub! so please donate any spare change you may have! and get mightily drunk whilst your at it!

P.S. Registration is not yet open for the run, but we have pre-registered our interest, so fingers crossed, so we do not recommend that you donate until we are guaranteed a place in the run.
