I am taking part in this 10k run to rasie as much money as possible to help a charity that itself helps hundreds of families deal with the devastating effects of Cancer.

As most of you probably know my Dad had been suffering from Cancer for some years (intially Kidney cancer which also moved to his lungs) and then more recently diagnosed with two brain tumours. We also had a massive blow last year when my sister-in law (27 at the time) was diagnosed with breast cancer.

The great support provided from such organistations as the 'Lynda Jackson Macmillan Centre' at Mount Vernon provides essential help and information in order to alleviate a great number of concerns at an already very difficult time.

Sadly since creating this 'just giving page' my father lost his own battle with cancer passing away on Monday 30th August, which makes me even more determined to raise as much money as possible.
