Story

On April 8th 2010 my Mum age 38 passed away suddenly. She died of a 'spontaneous intracerable haemorrhage', it was a complete to shock to me and the rest of the people who cared for her dearly. That date has changed my life and many others around me, i lost my Mum without warning and nothing can replace that.

She was taken into The Royal Lancaster Infirmary to the IC Unit (Intensive Care) where a team of doctors, nurses and consultants tried their best to help my Mum and give her the best level of care and treatment. Sadly the damge caused by the haemorrhage was too catastrophic and there was nothing more the staff on the IC could do and that was when i lost my Mum and people lost a loved one. However the staff must be credited as they showed a great level of care and respect for my Mum and all the family that was present that night.

My Mum was an incredibly couragous, ambitious and caring women, she always gave me the guidence i needed when i faced a difficult decision and always showed me there was a reason, a hope and a light at the end and she was right. She gave me her strength to believe and i can never thank her enough for that. - On the 5th of September 2010 i am running the 'Sheffield Bupa Great Run' covering the distance of 10k, in honour and memory of my Mum. - http://www.greatrun.org/Events/Event.aspx?id=11&link=Coverflow

My Mum was a great believer in me and something like this she would of been extremely proud in me for doing, she was always one for a good cause and something in which goodness came of it. I know she would of supported me through something like this and would of loved to take part herself. Well 'she' is now my cause, i am doing this for her.

After she passed away, my Mum saved 4 lives by chosing to donate her organs. She was so loving and caring, she knew that one day she would save the lives of others with her own generosity. I hope in someway or another i can give that small bit of generosity she had through me by raising money for a cause worthy of her.

I am running this to raise money for the Morecambe Bay Hospital Charity which is in connection with the Royal Lancaster Infirmary, where the IC Unit my Mum was on is situated. My hope is to raise money for this charity to help provide more care and a higher level of care, to help people who get sent into Intensive Care like my Mum, to give family and friends a hope and to ultimately prevent them going through the pain that both I and everyone around her is going through.

My Mum was a great believer in me and i really hope you can all do the same by donating some money, whether it is small or big, i will be ever so greatful of anything, it would mean so much to me and my Mum. - I Thank You all so much for reading this i just hope you can support me and donate.

Thank You all again.
