Story
I have taken on the challenge of completing the 3 Peaks Challenge, hiking up the 3 highest peaks in the UK (Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the English Lake District and then Snowden in Wales). It involves walking about 44 kilometres (27 miles) and climbing 3,000 metres, with a bit of driving between the places. The only catch is that you need to do it in 24 hours!
But having spent some timing exploring the Americas and hiking through Patagonia and throughout the Andes - surely this can't be too hard :)
The motivation is to raise funds for The Food Chain, a wonderful London based charity. The Food Chain has been going for almost 30 years, and supports people with HIV, giving them access to food, helping them learn about good nutrition, teaching them cooking skills and providing social support which is necessary when many people still suffer as a result of the stigma that comes with HIV.
If you are able to donate something to the Food Chain and my personal challenge, I would really appreciate your support!
If you could also send some sunshine to the UK on the 1st July that would be great too :)
