From Oldways End to Glastonbury Tor, to arrive in time for the Summer Solstice 2011 (21st June).

Why sponsor me for that? Because I have Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis, it's a 45 mile walk, mostly without pavements, and I fall over quite a lot = the pictures will be hysterical! :o)

Hence Sponsored Stumble and not Sponsored Walk :o)

I'll give myself about 5 days to do it, so im not stressing, and take a sleeping bag (and tent if its chilly/wet) and crash in fields along the way.

I did look at all these dead glamorous sponsored events on the web - but you need £500 to sign up - if I had £500 i'd just give it to the MS Society!

Why would I give it to them? Because around 50 people a week are diagnosed with MS in the UK.  15% of those have the type I have, Primary Progressive, no relapses, no remission, just symptoms that get worse over time, sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, with no cure, and no drugs that GPs will happily provide to numb it.

The MS Society keeps people like me going.  Offering forums for discussion and lobbying government over unfair reforms.

When you woke up this morning = did you manage to pull on your tights or button your shirt without thinking? People with MS cant.  And we're not bitter :o) We just want to make sure our society, the MS Society, has the money to keep supporting us :o)
