Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Hi, as you all know i work for the national animal welfare trust at their rescue centre in Watford. Well as times are hard we have all been thinking of different ways to raise extra funds for the centre. One of the ideas was to walk over hot coals to raise money. Well yes thats what we are going to do, there is 36 of us so far who have signed up.
Must admit getting nervous about it but have been promised that there will be a glass of wine waiting for me at the end. Just shows that we will do anything for our animals.
Thank you.
Jane.

The NAWT rescue and re-home over 1,500 animals a year, mainly cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs. We have a policy that no healthy animal will be put to sleep, so we don't have a time limit on how quickly an animal must be homed, we will work with that animal for as long as it takes until we find the right home.
We are working towards a future where no animal is refused help. Where every animal entering our care is found a suitable and loving home and whilst in our care all animals are looked after in line with our values. We are reliant solely on donations from the public to continue our work as we receive no government funding.
The fire-walk is to raise funds for the Watford Centre. Over the last 25 years the site has been developed to its full capacity, and many of our facilities are now showing their age and in urgent need or refurbishment and modernisation. We are raising money to help us to continue to provide the high standard of care whilst we find suitable homed for the animals we help. The current recession has impacted our income dramatically and this is one of the fundraising initiatives developed by the centre staff to raise much needed funds.
Registration: 4:30pm onwards Fire-walk Training: 5:30pm – 7:30pm Fire-walk: 7:30pm
