The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am cycling 316 miles from the HSBC HQ in London, Canary Wharf, through the UK, France and Belgium all the way to Amsterdam!

This challenge will require 4 days of consecutive cycling and climbing a total of 6042ft.

After completing the training cycle (45 miles) and flying off the bike after 5 miles this challenge will certainly put me to the test mentally and physically! I still as yet have to figure out how to look back and not fall off...

I am completing this challenge for a very worthy cause; Guide Dogs for the Blind. They do amazing work and provide a unique combination of practical and emotional support to transform the lives of people who are blind or partially sighted offering them independence, inclusion and freedom.

Did you know: Every hour, another person in the UK goes blind, proving just how important this charity is so please dig deep and donate!

As an HSBC employee I will be able to apply for the £4£ scheme which means HSBC will match any money I make up to £500. So if I can reach my £500 target, Gift Aid will add another £25 and HSBC £500 giving a grand total of £1025!!!

Thank you for all your support- let's hope I make it there in one piece!
