Story
The challenge is the New York Marathon on 7th November 2010!
The charity is Andrea’s Gift, this charity is Yorkshire’s leading brain tumour charity, providing funds for brain tumour research and patient support and one that is very close to my heart.
The reason I’m running for this charity is because in 2008 my niece Rachel (aged 7 at the time) had a serious accident whereby she slipped and banged her head during a gym class. The consultant neurosurgeon at the Leeds General Infirmary that saved Rachel’s life is a founder member and trustee of Andrea’s Gift and I want to raise as much as I can to say a huge Thank you! to everyone involved and to all those that supported my family to help bring my little Rach back to her lively self.
Rachel is my inspiration to run this marathon and I’m so proud of her, so the training has started along with all the aches and pains but it’s all worth it.
This charity supports and assists brain tumour patients and their carers throughout the UK and helps raise money to find a cure for this devastating disease. Please feel free to visit the Andrea’s Gift website to find out more about what amazing work they do.

Well thanks for taking time out to read this and I hope I can gain your support for this amazing charity and to help get me round 26.2 miles!
Thanks again
