Anaphylaxis is a life-threatening systemic allergic reaction. In the worst case where not treated this can result in death. As many of you know my wife suffers quite spontaneous allergic reactions due an imbalance of white cells (more specifically, mast cells) resulting in a condition called Mast Cell Activation Syndrome. The work the anaphylaxis campaign has done has ensured positive promotion of severe allergy and treatments.If the money I raise goes some way to prevent just one death from anaphylaxis, whether that providing training to healthcare professionals or giving advice on prevention, I will have suceeded in my personal challenge.
