We grant life-changing wishes to children with critical illnesses.

Story

In May 2010, six brave/foolish/stupid Men will attempt to complete the Big Black Mountain Challenge 2010. No, we're not sure why either.......

We will be doing the hardest of the three available routes, which means that we will be walking 27 miles in, hopefully, less than 12 hours. I realise that this in itself sounds easy enough but, please note, over 10 miles of the trek will be going uphill and we will climb to higher than 2500 ft at our highest point. Please also note that the walk will take place through the Brecon Beacons (where the SAS train!) which means that we will be surrounded by Welsh countryside, Welsh mountains, Welsh weather and other idiots who also got drunk and thought this walk would be a good idea!

We have decided that if we can put ourselves through the walk then the least that our friends and loved ones can do is dip their hands into their pockets and donate some money to the fantastic Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. In 2009 alone, over 1000 children turned to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to have their special wish granted.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation doesn't need a lot of explaining. It is clearly a great charity and we hope to be able to raise £2000 between the six of us.

We really hope that you will support us and the charity.

Thanks

The Men of the Mountains
