Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am taking part in the Great North Run on the 19th September 2010 in memory of my girlfriends mum Jean Brewster who fought a very brave battle with cancer for over 18 months.

Jean fought every step of the way with dignity but none of the treatment she received would have been possible without fundraising events like this and although she now cannot be saved there are plenty of people out there who can and you never know when this disease could affect someone you love dearly.

Everyone who knew Jean will agree with me when I say she was a great person to be around, very caring, thoughtful, generous & kind. We all miss her very much. Last year she supported Danielle & I when we completed the Leeds 10k, this year I have increased the distance in Memory of Jean and to hopefully raise even more money than before so please help me reach my fundraising target, any donation big or small is welcome and will be much appreciated.

All the money I raise will go to Cancer Research UK so that this great charity can continue to find new and improved treatments to help people continue their fight against Cancer.

The Great North Run is the world's biggest half marathon with over 54,000 people of all ages running for various charities. I am aiming to complete the 13.1 miles in under 2 hours, training is going ok and this will increase over the coming months.
