We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Hello

Thanks for taking time out to look at my sponsorship page. I'm going to be running the Great North Run for the fifth time this year for Crohn's and Colitis UK and if that wasn't hard enough the weekend after I'm going to be taking part in Tough Mudder!

It's a cause that's really important to me- I had emergency surgery for acute ulcerative colitis a few years ago.  I was in hospital for a while and I promised myself I'd get healthy and stay fit- so six years ago ran my first half marathon.

This year I'm pushing myself more by training for Tough Mudder at the same time (aaaah!)...if you've not heard of Tough Mudder it involves a 12 mile run with a lot of obstacles like electric wires, mud tunnels and ice pools!

Please donate what you can for this charity, they fund research into Crohn's and Colitis and support people suffering with them. It's a great charity and your donations are really appreciated.

Cheers :-)
