UPDATE: Thank you all for your support! I completed my run in 3:26:19 (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/30463197)
and with your help have raised over £2,000 for The Martlets. It's still not too late to make a contribution.

I am running the 2010 Brighton Marathon on 18 April and am raising money for Martlets Hospice. Martlets provide end of life care services to adults with life limiting illness including cancer. Practical and emotional support is also offered to the families and carers of patients including helping them through bereavement. Their main aim is to maximise the quality of life for patients and to support patient choice, dignity and independence. Martlets are a registered charity and all their services are provided free of charge. It costs over £4 million every year to run the Hospice and local community support is essential to their survival.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
