Story
2 years ago my dad had a tumour removed which led to him being fitted with a colostomy bag. Over this time he has received a lot of support from the Colostomy Association. I originally applied to do the run to give myself a challenge. I decided to raise money for the charity due to the connection it has with my Dad and knowing that he and others in similar situations will be able to benefit.
I've been training hard over the past few months, adjusting my lifestyle in order to train appropriately and increase the mileage that is required. I feel ready for the race and am aiming to give everything I can on sunday 7th. Not only will it be a personal achievement, but the pain will be much more worthwhile if we can raise as much as possible for a charity close to my family's hearts.
