Story

Thanks for visiting the Proven Pedallers page! It's that time of year again when we take to our saddles to raise money for the Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre.

Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre, University of Glasgow - opened May 2008.

Until the opening of this important new centre, haematology research has been scattered around six different sites in Glasgow, making collaboration between NHS work, research and clinical activity very difficult. Often staff had to work with outdated equipment or inadequate facilities.

The Paul O’Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre provides a much-needed research facility giving both clinicians and researchers access to the most advanced facilities and equipment. These improvements will help them to translate the results of their work into new treatments which will benefit all leukaemia patients.

We are a team of over 20 cyclists who are raising money for Paul O'Gorman Leukaemia Research Centre in Glasgow. The cycling event takes place on Sunday 15th August starting from Kelvingrove Park, cyclists head to Clydebank on the Kelvin Walkway and return via the Cycle Path on the Forth and Clyde Canal.  All cyclists have the option to cover 13 or 26 miles.

Please dig deep and sponsor this good cause!

Thanks!
