I decided to run the Bath Half Marathon 2014 as a sign of the tremendous gratitude that my husband & I feel towards the men & women who work for the Wiltshire Air Ambulance. Our baby daughter was born last May at Frome & unfortunately her arrival into the world was a bit of a rocky one! She required immediate resuscitation & urgent transport to St. Michaels' Hospital in Bristol. If it wasn't for the speed & skill of the team working that day, Rebekah may well not have survived. But the happy outcome was that she was transported very quickly, safely & went on to receive the specialist cooling treatment that she required in Bristol. She was in hospital for two weeks but has done fab & is now a very adorable, happy & playful nine month old!! We are so very proud of her! 

We will never forget the vital work of the Wiltshire Air Ambulance, and indeed all the air ambulances throughout the country. They are an extraordinary blessing & we must all work hard to keep them in the air! I would be so very grateful if you might consider donating something...........no matter how small. Even if you can't donate, please say a wee prayer that these organisations will be around for many years to come!! With heartfelt thanks,

16/6/14 - Dear family & friends, just to say a massive THANK YOU for all the fundraising support, it has been overwhelming to say the least! Sorry it's taken me so long to post this update. I managed to complete the Bath half in just under 1 hr 52 mins.........& enjoyed (almost) every minute of it!! Thanks also to the entire Wiltshire AA Team who helped with the logistics & were there to offer a hug, a goodie bag & even a massage at the end of the run!! A final word must go to my gorgeous daughter Rebekah who was on the route with daddy in spite of the rather miserable weather, & provided that final boost of energy to make the finishing line! Looking forward to the next fundraising challenge!! X x
