We help refugees & asylum-seekers in Devon to integrate them in the local community.

Story

As part of this year’s Refugee Week in June, Refugee Support Devon and Exeter City of Sanctuary are organising a half-day symposium on Friday June 24th to examine the growing challenges for organisations and communities dedicated to helping newcomers settle in our area.

Our aim is to bring together organisations, community groups and individuals who work with refugees in some capacity, to discuss the obstacles facing us, and to come up with potential solutions through collaboration and sharing of good practices.

We are inviting organisations from across the South West to send representatives to this Symposium.

If you represent an organisation interested in helping refugees, and would like to share your experience and ideas with like-minded people, please contact RSD’s Jeremy Toye on jemtoye@gmail.com as soon as you can as spaces are limited.

As an individual you make also like support this timely initiative by making a donation through this JustGiving page.

Thank you for your interest in helping refugees find sanctuary and support in our area.
