Each year I like to set myself physical and mental challenges, so for 2010 I have chosen one of the ultimate endurance mountain bike events; The Mountain Mayhem 24 hour race. I have entered as a solo competitor, so yes that does mean that I will be riding alone for as much of 24 hours as possible!

The race takes place on 19-20th June at Eastnor Castle Deer Park, Ledbury, Herefordshire.

As I have had close friends and family that have been touched by cancer, I decided that this would be an ideal opportunity to raise money to help fund and support the amazing work that Cancer Research deliver. 

I know that this challenge will be tough and there'll be highs and lows but they'll be nothing compared to the suffering that friends and their families went through as they waged their personal battles against cancer.

So please dig deep and donate now. Any amount however small will be very gratefully received.
