Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am one of a group of folk of various ages, sizes, genders and physical attributes who ran the Great North Run on September 19th to raise money for the Isaiah Trust. You can read more about the work of the trust on their website, but in brief they help children in East Africa get off the streets and back into education and work.  It is only a small charity, and all the money raised goes to the frontline; no expensive administration team!

We all completed the run, notwithstanding a few injuries, and Tim is busy calculating the total raised.  We'll get back to you all with that information later on.

For the record, I finished in 1hr 57m (and 1 second).  At least I can say that I have been beaten by the all time greatest long distance runner in the world!

This site is still open, but if you'd like to donate other than through JustGiving, I'm happy to accept real money.  I'll add your name to a paper sponsorship form and arrange to collect soon.

I know that times are hard, so if you are able to give I am extremely grateful.  If you aren't able to give this time around, thank you for reading this.

As for next year?  Well, back to the training ground for me - plod, plod plod.

Best Wishes

Jerry
