Story
I'm rather foolishly running the Paris Marathon on April the 11th.
Those of you that know me well, will now be saying quite rightly to yourselves "But you're the least sporty person ever." You would be right. Those that went to school with me, may have also been partners in crime as we cheated on the cross country run, hiding by the 6th form entrance watching the leaders run to the finish line, waiting a believable amount of time and then running through pretending we'd run the whole way. I promise not to cheat this time, I will finish it in the proper way and hopefully it won't kill me. But it might.
My Dad has run lots of marathons and usually in very good times indeed. His fastest was 3 hours and 20 mins. He's running it too this year and I thought it would be nice to run it together. Although, he'll be running it about an hour or so faster, maybe more, gulp. So, not exactly 'together.'
I'm running for Great Ormond Street, which is just at the end of my road and I see first hand what a great job they do there. It would be lovely if you could sponsor me, this will also ensure that I won't back out as I'd feel too guilty. What better motivation!
