Rwanda hit the headlines in 1994 with it's terrible genocide.  15 years on it is peaceful but the Rwandan people are still suffering the terrible consequences and it is still one of the poorest countries in the world.

My employer, Turner Broadcasting's Europe, Middle East & Africa division (the Company behind, CNN, Cartoon Network, TCM and many other famous channels) is working with Plan International to build a school as experience shows that education is one of the most important ways of helping communities work their way out of poverty. .  I am travelling along with 20 of my work colleagues, in February,  to the Bihinga Primary School in the Gatsibo district to add three classrooms on to their existing overcrowded and very delapidated school.

I know times are hard for everyone right now and money is tight, just take a moment to think of some people who have absolutely nothing at all. Where even going to school with a roof over your head is an absolute luxury, something they can only aspire to.
