I’ve been horrified recently to read in the newspapers about several cases of child cruelty and neglect in the UK, which has lead to the deaths of young children by the people who are supposed to cherish and nurture them.

Fortunately none in East Lothian, but it’s spurred me onto raise money for Homestart whose staff and volunteers do fantastic work to help many families through difficult times. I so wish they’d been around 28 years ago  👶👶

I pledge to walk 10,000 Fitbit steps each day and give up alcohol 🍷 during November (with the exception of one 60th birthday bash) and donate my wine savings to Homestart.
