We provide support and fund vital research to make myeloma history

Story

I'm cycling 500km over 4 days from London to Paris to help make myeloma history!

In July 2020 I received the shock diagnosis that I had multiple myeloma. The myeloma had eaten away my bones and I had a broken sternum, clavicle and ribs. I was also informed I would never cycle again!!

12 months of chemo followed and in Aug 2021 I had my stem cell transplant. The journey to get this far has been tough but with my amazing team of friends, family, hospital staff and my coach .. here I am ready to embark on one of the toughest challenges I have faced.

During my journey I became friends with Nick, Nick was diagnosed with myeloma at the same time. We had so much in common and had been avid cyclists. Quite frankly he was the funniest most giving person I had met. We lost Nick in February this year and a few days before he made me promise to fly the flag for us.

So Nick my beautiful friend this is for you !! I will proudly fly that flag into Paris for you ❤️

Myeloma research is critically important because myeloma is a complex cancer with no known cure. It's also relapsing and remitting which means many patients are in desperate need of that next treatment.. I owe so much to myeloma uk as the constant research into new treatment gives me hope.
