Velindre Cancer Centre is a place close to my family’s heart as they have treated both my dad and grandad         who both had cancer.

I lost my dad to cancer in May 2008 after battling with cancer for a year. He was undergoing treatment in Velindre Cancer Centre, where they took great care of him!

Now I want to do something to help them after all the help they gave to my dad and grandad. In January 2011, my mother and I are going to be climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in order to raise money to help make life easier for people being treated with cancer at Velindre in the future.

My dad and grandad would be so proud of us doing this-may even be jealous but I know that he will be there with us in spirit and guiding us all the way as both are in our hearts forever and always.

If you can help sponsor me to raise this money it would make such a big difference to someone battling with cancer.

I am going to be arranging different fundraising activities throughout the next year and I will be keeping you all posted with any updates and events.
