The Community Foundation for Staffordshire has launched an appeal in Staffordshire to support those who have been affected by Covid-19.

Story

Please consider sparing just £2 to my appeal to raise £200

£2 is less than what you might ordinarily spend on a Costa coffee, on a pint after work, on a magazine, on fuel, on many things!

I am so proud to live in Stafford, having seen so many communities come together to support one another and provide emergency aid to the most vulnerable.

Please help to alleviate some of the immediate need by donating just £2.

Across Staffordshire, many people are being advised to isolate themselves from their communities, families and friends in order to limit the spread of Covid-19, and to reduce their risk of contracting it. This means that a large number of vulnerable people have now been isolated and do not have access to their support services that many cannot do without.

Local voluntary and community organisations have already started responding to this need, offering extra services such as shopping and remote befriending services to help those vulnerable people who are isolated, but they will find it difficult to continue due to themselves being isolated and this has placed further strains on their work. This fund aims to support those organisations and ensures that we are helping those who have become isolated and lost access to vital services.
