There’s us thinking a 10k run through a forest would be quite pleasant….we couldn’t have been more wrong!!!  We can only describe the conditions for our run yesterday as HORRENDOUS.

 

However, the random racers all successfully completed their 10k challenge for The Royal Marsden. We ran through a forest, up hills, up steps, across bridges, in the mud, puddles, rain, hail stones & thunder.....but all worth it for the amazing £4,832 we've raised so far.  Without your support and donations we wouldn’t have got to this fantastic amount of money.

First and foremost we're not really runners (we do most of our running by car these days!!) No, we're definitely not runners, we're more....well.....more drinkers. Yes, that's exactly what we are "more drinkers". It was whilst on one of our 'local' engagements that conversation turned to the stark reality that most of us knows someone close who either has been or is affected by Cancer in one form or another.  A couple of the team were already entered into the Pine Ridge 10km race so we thought it would be a good idea if the rest of us muscled in on this event and turn it into a team charity run.

Whilst there are countless deserving charities that need support this one is closest to our hearts so we decided on THE ROYAL MARSDEN as our chosen Charity.

Whether we walk, jog, run or crawl we will all finish the race and hopefully raise a nice sum for this most worthy of causes.  Any sum donated however small will hopefully make a difference to someone and will be greatly appreciated by us fine athletes.
