Hospice care eases the physical and emotional pain of death and dying. Letting people focus on living, right until the end. But too many people miss out on this essential care. Hospice UK fights for hospice care for all who need it, for now and forever.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am raising money for Help The Hospices as my dad died of Oesophagus cancer in April of this year at Forest Holme Hospice in Poole Dorset. I want to give something back for all the amazing support and help they gave both my dad and my mum and I through the last days of my dads life. My dad didnt particularly want to go into a hospice but unfortunately it was the best place for him and he even thought so in the end, the nurses made us feel so at ease and comfortable in a place of such sadness. I always thought how hard it must be for the staff of the hospice as the people that go there werent going to get better, they have to deal with the emotions of different families day in day out and to keep a friendly caring smile on their face everyday must be very difficult.

Hospices rely on fundraising and donations to deliver the best possible care to adults and children with life-limiting and terminal illness's, as well as to their friends and family and I want to help keep those donations coming to Help The Hospices so that if you ever need them you will get the same amazing care my family had.

So firstly I have entered the London Marathon for Help the Hospices next year however I wont know if I have a place til later in the year so I thought I'd start fundraising early and if I dont get in I can donate the money anyway! Our first event is an Aerobathon on the 9th July at QE Leisure Centre I have around 70 people attending the 7 hour event where they have to participate in 7 classes of Body Pump,Attack,Combat,RPM,Jam,Balance and Step! Yes it will be a killer but we will make it as its for such a great cause! So if you want to come and support on the day you can or we would be greatful if you donated on this site!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.
