Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This might seem an unusual challenge but be under no illusions, a challenge it is. My plan is to give up all alcohol for the entirety of 2013. This might sound easy to some but as a 35 year old who has been steadily drinking for the best part of 20 years, it's guaranteed to be a hard habit to break.
My aim is this. I will not drink a drop of alcohol in 2013. I'll even avoid food with alcohol in it and do it in aid of Hartlepool and District Hospice who ensure people affected by life limiting illness or the death of a loved have the care, comfort and support they need.
Throughout the year, I will update my progress with a weekly blog. As part of the blog, I will identify any changes to my health. I think it will be interesting to see how much weight I lose as a result.
Here's the address:
I need support to do this I would like people to consider donating regularly to keep me going. I have already been sponsored by a number of people who have agreed to pledge £2 a month, so £24 for the entire year seems to be the going rate. Obviously this is just a suggestion. Any sponsorship amount will be greatfully received. If I am out socially and offered a drink, I will ask for the price of the drink to be donated to the fund instead.
I'm sure this will be a massive personal challenge.
