Story

I'll be honest here. Walking with the Wounded is an amazing cause (see below) and one that I feel proud to be a part of. However, when I signed up, I foolishly believed that it would be a bunch of fat, middle aged farts going on a pub crawl raising money for a worthy charity.

The reality is a 50 mile walk on Friday 1st December, starting at 10pm from the Cenotaph, walking through the night to arrive in Petworth by 4pm the following day. I have now bought some walking boots, armed with hundreds of plasters and blister packs and have started my training walks. If anyone would like to join me on a training walk, I would love to have you along. We can sing The Proclaimers together!

Any donations would be gratefully received. Many thanks.

Walking Home For Christmas is Walking With The Wounded’s annual campaign to support ex servicemen and women with physical, mental, or social injuries (such as those who are homeless or those in police custody) to reintegrate back into society and regain their independence, through employment.
