Story
As part of the Immunocore Walkies 2017 team I will be attempting the 100 km Thames Path Challenge this coming weekend in aid of Thames Valley Air Ambulance.
Thames Valley Air Ambulance provide life-saving medical care to people in life-threatening situations on a daily basis. Costing £2.2 million per year to keep them flying they receive no Government or Lottery funding but rely entirely on charitable donations. Together our support will contribute to keep them flying night and day, 365 days a year - able to deliver their unique life saving service to patients where and when it is most needed.
This time last year I was recovering from a broken ankle, and essentially had to begin walking and running again from scratch through muscle wastage and joint pain. Now I'm aiming to complete 100 km in aid of TVAA. To be frank I've no idea if I can walk that far these days, but there's only one way to find out... Let's do the experiment!
