Update 1st june 2010

I would like to say a big thank you to eveyone who supported me in the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday May 23 2010 - messages and sponsorship have been great.

In Edinburgh on Sunday the tempearature was around 29 degrees and for a Scottish person thats about 45 degrees. The time was no classic but still really proud to hav...e done it.
With everyone's help we have managed to raise just over £1,600 ( including giftaid) for for the charity Alzheimers. I attach some links below to the times and some shocking pictures of a large man run/walking round Edinburgh with a shocking outfit. Headgear was functional not fashion : )

Ever since Marathon changed their name to Snickers has my name failed to be mentioned in conjunction with the word marathon.

Well on 23 May 2010 this will change and I will be running/walking/crawling the Edinburgh marathon for Alzheimer's. This will be my first marathon and the Ethiopian runners aren't exactly quaking in their boots at the prospect of me defeating them. I have decided to run the marathon for Alzheimer's which is a really worthwhile cause, as it will affect almost everyone's life in one way or another.

As you all know, I am not your average marathon runner shape but I have been training hard and I will do this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know there are many charity requests at this time of the year but if you are able to give a small amount that would be great. Even if not thanks for everyone's support and best wishes.
