Haitian Earthquake Disaster
I had a great Christmas and fantastic New Year, like many I’ve over-eaten, and a moan about a few pounds put on seems to be a general January mantra!  .....  Then along comes the earthquake disaster in Haiti, where tens of thousands have lost their lives, 100s of thousands have lost their homes and livelihoods, and all the Christmas excess and being snug and safe despite moaning about the snow seems a bit pants. 

How you can help - and enter the Grand Prize Draw
Oxfam are experts at getting the right aid to the right people at the right time and are providing clean water, shelter and sanitation to those affected by the Earthquake so do take this opportunity to donate. 

As an incentive, I am offering either a day out on board "Cumulus" for 4 people during the Henley Regatta OR an evening aboard "Cumulus" at the 2010 Henley Festival OR any other day/evening, by arrangement, during 2010.  For every £1 you donate you will get 1 ticket in a Prize Draw. 
 
Prize Draw and Raffle on Sat 30th January at Jive+ Rover Club, Cowley Oxford.
You only have a short time to enter as the Draw takes place on Saturday 30th January at the Jive+ event at the Rover Club in Cowley.   Or enter the draw on 30 Jan in person, when there will also be a raffle with other prizes.  Jive+ will also donate £1 of each person’s entrance fee to the appeal fund.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure, your details are safe  and they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.  Your money goes straight to Oxfam and they make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
