We breed and train guide dogs to give blind people freedom and mobility

Story

Welcome along.

JustGiving is amazingly simple, pretty much like me. It’s also secure and a site I've donated through many times in the past without any issues or concerns. Gift Aid is an essential extra charities rely on, so if you're a UK taxpayer please ensure you tick the relevant box so the government also dips into their pockets and tops up your donation.

Richard Mardling (my bosses boss and Enline director) has challenged himself to cycle from Workington to Newcastle in July this year. Not content with inflicting this pain solely upon himself he thought it would be a good idea to invite colleagues, and this is where me and the others volunteering got involved.

Guide Dogs for the Blind Association is my charity of choice for this event. They provide mobility and freedom to blind and partially sighted people.  They also campaign for the rights of people with visual impairment, educate the public about eye care and fund eye disease research.

So please dig deep and donate as much or as little as you can.

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
