Story
Well ... there's a first for everything!
On the 10th February 2010 I will be locked into the old police cells in Brighton Town Hall for the night ... along with some others. I'm rather hoping that you will pledge some bail to get me out. After all, it is a working day the next day!
Money is being raised for both the Museum and Sussex Crimestoppers.
The Museum is in the basement of Brighton Town Hall - the force headquarters, station office and cells of Brighton Police (from 1830) and the place where, in 1844 the then Chief Constable, Henry Solomon, was murdered by a prisoner. Not something that has happened elsewhere as far as I know.
Anyway, thanks for stopping by and if you want to bail me ... donations gratefully received. If you want me to stay ... that will cost extra.
Thanks, John
