Story

Hi,  sorry to be on the scrounge yet again but having vowed I would never, EVER go near a mountain let alone try Aconcagua again only three  short years ago I am very keen indeed to help raise funds for the inspirational charity that my friends Ruth and Bruce Dundas have set up in memory of their son Louis.  So I am going to give it a go again....  I leave on Friday 27th November.

Louis, aged five, died last year from a brain tumour and Ruth and Bruce have committed to raise £7 million  having  established the Louis Dundas Centre for Childrens Palliative Care at Great Ormond Street Hospital and  are dedicated to raise these funds to improve the lives of children with life threatening and life limiting conditions.

Although GOSH is the most amazing wonderful hospital doing incredible work  to be clear this is a stand alone ring fenced fund for a specific purpose within GSOH  your money goes to this project not into the general  GOSH coffers.

The care this project provides will embrace physical, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of wellbeing, &  focus on enhancing the quality of life for the child and family. The centre will bring together research, teaching and clinical practice to find and diseminate ways of improving childrens palliative care services. Extraordinary as it may seem this service provison is almost non existant in the UK today.

Have a look at my blog johnnybergiusaconcagua.blogspot.com ( Bizarrely, this link doesn't always work from here so take a note and try it directly)  which explains more and on this you can follow the climb.

Your donations will really help spur me on my way and hopefully  make the second attempt a more pleasant experience than the first!

Any donations however large or small are really vital to help Ruth and Bruce achieve their goal so PLEASE HAND OVER YOUR CASH!!!! I am so happy with the increasing sum raised  It means the world to me It really REALLY will make a huge difference to the cause and is the most massive psychological boost for me it realy spurs me on I MEAN IT!!!!

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!

Love Johnny
