Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Last September we were unfortunate to witness someone take their own life at the Grand Canyon Park in Arizona, USA. The traumatic events of that day were very upsetting and we felt very sad the young man standing next to us was unable to speak to anyone about his problems.

Depression is a disease that needs to be researched more and talked about more and this is one of the reasons I have chosen to support AFSP. This terrible condition which causes sadness, loss, worthlessness and changes to how you think and feel, needs to be acknowledged for what it is. There is very little money put into Mental Health despite the fact so many people are affected by it.  We all need to be more aware and try to reach out to vulnerable people. We need to really listen. Most of all we need everyone to know that there is always a solution to every problem.  No one needs to die in this way. So please join us and help AFSP to prevent more suicides.
