We share recycling skills around the world to beat poverty, pollution & climate change

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Today, one in three people worldwide have no access to waste management services and are forced to dump or burn their waste, causing disease, polluting the oceans and contributing to the global climate crisis

I believe that this is an issue that deserves our attention, which is why I'm joining forces with my work colleagues at Zumo to fundraise in support of the good work of UK charity, WasteAid.

Please help me to raise visibility for this critical issue, support sustainable waste management practices worldwide and exceed my fundraising target by donating and sharing this page.

What exactly am I doing?
In the next 6 weeks (from 1st of November 22), I am committing to hike and walk at least 200 miles and doing a litter pick in Edinburgh (Water of Leith Walkway) as part of my fundraising challenge.

On the 9th of December, I'll be doing a further awareness and fundraising walk with my colleagues.

What is WasteAid and what does it do?
WasteAid is a young, dynamic and independent charity, based in the UK but with global reach. The charity works with local communities and policy makers in some of the world's poorest places to implement solutions focused on waste management and recycling.

Their work improves the livelihoods of some of the most marginalised people, promotes circular economy innovation and contributes to better health, a cleaner environment and dignified jobs.

Please give as generously as you are able.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Once you donate, JustGiving will send your money directly to WasteAid.

Thank you,

Jonathan
