Story

At the end of last year both of my brothers were diagnosed with prostate cancer. The news has shaken our family to the core. Other than supporting the two of them emotionally, and spending time with them as much as possible, I have felt there is little else that I can do.

Taking on the London Marathon will be the biggest physical challenge I have ever faced, but something I feel incredibly passionate about. If my brothers can face their treatments with such bravery the least I can do is put myself through 42kms of sweat and tears!

I hope the funds I manage to raise will go some way to helping find a new and successful treatment that in turn may help my brothers.

Prostate cancer is the most commonly diagnosed male cancer in the UK, and Germany, yet current treatments are limited and can be harmful particularly for the late stages. Prostate Cancer Research funds research into more effective treatments for prostate cancer with the aim creating a future where people are free from the impact of the disease. Your donation will support innovative scientists with bold ideas working collaboratively to achieve results and who put patient voice at the heart of their decisions making a real difference to the lives of people affected. Any donation will help me get one step closer to my target and will help to support Prostate Cancer Research in achieving their - and my - mission. Thank you! Dankeschön!
