Fundraising for Streetlife
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the justgiving page for Julia and Johanna and for your interest .
Johanna is a Blackpool GP and Julia has been involved with Street life. This explains our commitment to streetlife and supporting young people
Julia: "One year ago I gave up smoking, I still like having a drink (or two) and my favourite hobby is lie down and relax with a book... but I have decided that this year I will run a Half Marathon; is it the mid-life crisis?"
Johanna: "I returned from a trek, last summer, feeling exhausted but fit and started doing a bit of running to try and stay fit. I then got sucked into a half marathon idea, and before I was too old. Now I have a number, and the date is looming. My aim is to complete the half marathon without more injuries, (I have colourful bruises from a fall running today), and not give up. Just don't look at the time".
We will be running the Freckleton Half Marathon on Sunday 20th June 2010. The real reason for it is this amazing charity: SREETLIFE TRUST.
Streetlife is a local charity that provides shelter and support to vulnerable young people aged 16-25 in Blackpool. It also provides information and support to young people who are homeless, have been homeless or are at risk of becoming homeless
