Sadly, you or someone you know, or will come to know, will use the services of a Hospice.

Sadly my experience of this came last year when a very dear friend died. I first met Barbara 10 years ago whilst we were both studying for our PGCE's.  Barbara had come over from Northern Ireland to study in Leicester and as we were both  'older' students, me especially, we became good friends.

Barbara's friendship was warm and loving. She was a true shining star, always seeing the very best in people. She was a brilliant teacher. Her Irish charm was always there as was her love of rugby and the Irish rugby team.

Sadly, in May last year, Barbara was diagnosed with terminal cancer and she passed away 3 months later in LOROS.

Barbara's spirit lives on in everyone who had the good fortune to know her. We were very blessed.

LOROS took wonderful care of Barbara and because of this I am doing a 100km night time cycle ride round London.
