Here's what it's all about ...

As some of you may be aware our son Archie underwent open heart surgery in September 2007. He had a large hole in his heart ( ASD ) and luckily he has fully recovered from this surgery. He will need check ups in the future and is due to have one in August but at the moment he is a busy thriving healthy five year old and has really enjoyed his first year at school ! 

We are the fortunate ones......

In September 2007 Archie spent some time in PICU at the Southampton General Hospital and we will be forever grateful to all of the staff for their care and support through the most difficult time in our lives. They are all truly fantastic people and totally dedicated to their profession. This is just my way of saying Thank you.

On Sunday October 24th I am entering the Great South Run again and i have started to fit my training into my busy life !! It's a10 mile /16k flat run based in Portsmouth - though i would run around the world for them if i could - and i hope to raise as much money as possible for PICU. I would love to see some of you down there on the day ( with a stretcher maybe at the finish line ). The atmosphere is truly electric (if not raining!) and you can have a good laugh at me as i put myself through my paces - excuse the pun. You can even buy me lunch after if you want and then go off and explore what Portsmouth has to offer ; )

I understand that times are tough for all at the moment but if you could donate even a few pounds it would make a difference to a child's life.......every penny really does count.
