Story

13/9 Race Day

We did it! Pete and I ran the Great Capital Run (5K) in 30:51 with no walking :-) THANK YOU once again to everyone that has donated. We're thrilled to have raised so much for St Michael's Hospice.

Event: Great Capital Run 13th September, 10.00 a.m at Regents Park

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In April a friend that I grew up with, Stefanie Anderson, tragically died of cancer aged 32.

In her last weeks, Stefanie was lucky enough to be admitted to St Michael's Hospice in Hereford. I visited and Steff described the nurses as 'angels'. They really were. The facilities there meant that Steff's close family could stay over and have time with Steff whilst they were still able to.

I am competing in my first ever running event in the hope that I can raise some money for this amazing hospice. Here is some more information they asked I pass on:

"...It costs £3.6 million to keep the Hospice running this year. Only 10 per cent of funding comes from the PCT. The Hospice has 16 beds for In-patients, an Out-patients' clinic, a Day Hospice and other facilities for children, family, friends and carers as well as offering complementary therapies alongside care of a more clinical nature.
St Michael's Hospice provides specialist palliative care for residents in Herefordshire and the surrounding counties...."

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please, please dig deep and donate now.

Thank you so much for your support.
