GREAT NORTH RUN 2010 for BCFC Burns Unit Appeal.

The Great North Run was on the 19th September & the 4 of us had a good weekend in Durham/Newcastle/South Shields & didn't get too wet. Brian pulled a muscle in his calf and has had to defer his run tonext year - but fortunately Simon was able to run - at a slightly lower time than last year (due to too much work, a new baby, Leo, etc, etc) . He finished 15628 out of 54000 at 2hrs 6mins & 40 second. We think it's brilliant & we're very proud of hiis run.

We know that for various reasons our sponsership might be a   bit lower than last year (Thanks to all of you we raised £815.64, including gift aid, 2009), BUT that still doesn't mean we don't appreciate everyu penny of sponsershi we receiev & we're looking forward to building too our target before mid-December.

as I wrote last year...

The Burns Unit makes such an amazing diffence to the lives of so many - not just survivors of the Bradford City Fire but also to current people injured through burns throughout the country as the expertise developed there is shared nationally.
