Story

Starting on Saturday 10th October, Matt, Ali, Jen, Hazel, and Chris will attempt the Three Peaks Challenge, climbing the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales within 24 hours.  Starting at the foot of Ben Nevis on Saturday evening, the team will begin their challenge in the spectacularly beautiful setting of the Scottish Highlands, climbing to the 4,409 ft summit.  Descending the mountain quickly before darkness falls, the team will then eat and sleep in the minibus on the way to the next mountain, Scafell Pike in the Lake District.  The team will ascend the mountain in complete darkness with careful navigation required to safely reach the 3,206 ft summit.  Running down the mountain to the minibus whilst the sun rises, the team will then race to the final hurdle, Mount Snowdon in Wales.  There the team will be tested to the limit as tiredness and fatigue sets in, having barely had any sleep the challengers will need to dig deep to ascend 3,560 ft and complete the challenge before the 24 hours is up!  It is a physically and mentally demanding challenge that tests the best.

Distance on foot: 24 Miles
Distance driving: 450 miles
Height climbed: 10,000 feet

The team have chosen to climb the three peaks in aid of Breast Cancer Care in memory of Joy D'Aulerio and in support of this worthwhile cause. It's a huge challenge requiring much training and stamina, so please dig deep and sponsor them online to keep them motivated and to raise valuable funds to support the great work of Breast Cancer Care.
