Story

June's Bath Half on Sunday 7 March

Success Update

We had 3 additional team members run on the day, Ian and Adam Rider and Adam Hicks who are all members of the Saltford Football club.  This took us to a total of 8 team members and we had team T shirts printed which showed Jack's photo on the back. (thanks to Barrie Cook of Carillion T Shirt Printing)

The team finish times ranged from an impressive 1 hr 35 min (Russell) to 2 hr 10 min (myself and my sister) bringing up the rear, however we all finished which was the main thing although I'm sure a few of us had sore feet and muscles for a few days.

In all we have raised much more than expected and are still collecting.  I have raised over £2,000 over and above what has been posted on the just giving site and this is still growing.  Doing a quick addition of what others have collected we could well have raised between £4,000 and £5,000.  A great effort!!

I hope to get some photos posted on to the site shortly.  A massive 'Thank you' for all your wonderful support!!

Before the Bath Half

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and we are running in memory of Jack.

My sister Liz thought it would be a good idea to run the Bath Half and take the opportunity to raise additional funds for CRY. Well, the New Year has started and faced with this challenge, we have been training hard (although January snow didn't help). With about a month to go our training is going well and we are getting more and more confident that we will complete the course. (not making any promises about times though).

Of course, the pain of losing Jack will never go away. We are keeping busy and the Bath Half certainly presents a challenge for us.

Fundraising from the run will be donated to CRY (Cardiac Risk in the Young). CRY is a national charity that is dedicated to saving the lives of young people through screening, research and raising awareness.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

So please dig deep and donate now.

If you would like to support us on the day, we will be wearing CRY T shirts. So, give us a cheer - we'll need all your encouragement.

After the success of the charity football match last October, we'd like to sincerely thank you for your continued support.

Best regards

June
