Many thanks for everyones Support over the past few months - the total is now over £4,600!  This week the "tapering" continues - which means - less running / more sleeping and eating!
Only 4 more sleeps to go!
Only 1.5 weeks to go till Marathon! Total on Just Giving is looking really good - over £4,500! Thank you all very much....it has really helped over the last few months. Have started "tapering" over the last few days - which basically means reduce the mileage and rest! Its great! I did the london Bridge > Home Run again on Good Friday - 13miles. This week is light runs and a 1 hour Light run this weekend....Here is Fridays London Bridge Run

2nd April 2012
Completed final LONG training run on Saturday....20miles! Thats the longest run and now I start 3 weeks of tapering. The mid week distances will continue and the Weekend long runs - but the mileage reduces. Next weekends long run will be 15miles followed by 10miles....almost there! We held a Big Fund Raiser on Sunday and have raised over £1,000 from the day which will be adding to the Charity Appeal over the next few days. Many thanks for everones support....the total is now over £3,400!

Another LONG Run completed!......did a couple of gentle 5 / 6 milers during the week and prepared for the Sunday Long Run. I got the train with Lorrain and John to London and Ran 19miles of the Marathon Route. Great run and sports massage in the evening sorted my legs out! See the Run here :
Thanks for all your continued support - it is really making a difference...
Mothers Day! Training contiuned after seeing the Physio on Thursday night....my back is still inflamed around the Facia Joints but Nurofen seems to be working! I bought some Larey Green Runners to celebrate on Friday and did a gentle 5.5miles on Friday Night. No problems with back....so went to my long awaited "Long Run" - 18miles with Lorraine. We ran from London Bridge back to Oprington....legs were shot by the end of it but really pleased that my Back held out. Planning next Long Run for next weekend - we are going to do 18miles of the Marathon Route from Tower Bridge into Docklands and back out....Thanks for your support - it is really keeping me going!

8th March 2012
Grrrrrr - after last weekends long Run I have had a "twinge" in my back all week - I ran 3miles on Monday and had to walk most of it then 6miles Wednesday and 5miles Thursday. I went to the Physio tonight and it seems my Pelvis has dropped on one side and my Vertebrae is now touching a nerve.....not good. Had electrolysis and Nurofen and have to go back in 1 week but it means I will loose a week.....means only 5 weeks to go then!
